Sustainable corporate management: Leading by example
According to the World Health Organization, nearly 1 billion people on earth lack access to clean drinking water. As part of the LifeStraw project, in which foresters are actively involved, over 900,000 water filtration systems are being distributed in Kenya, providing everyone with clean drinking water. At the same time, the project also reduces wood consumption and the amount of CO2 that would otherwise be produced by boiling drinking water.
The project also provides approximately 4.5 million people in Kenya with easy access to clean water for the first time and creates thousands of employment opportunities for the local population during the project phase. Förster is proud to have made a positive contribution to this development through his involvement.
